ABP announce agents on £1.7 billion Royal Albert Dock scheme

ABP has appointed Cushman & Wakefield, Glenny and Savills as joint commercial agents on the £1.7 billion Royal Albert Dock development, a new international district in East London. The office space, from 1,300 to 333,000 sq. ft., is available on flexible terms, to accommodate a range of business at all stages of growth.

Set to be London’s newest business district, the ABP Royal Albert Dock comprises 4.7 million sq. ft. of mixed-use space and will combine 3.3 million sq. ft. of offices with 1.4 million sq. ft. of residential, retail and leisure elements, offering unique opportunities to global businesses and overseas property buyers.

John Miu, Vice President at ABP London, said: “We have appointed these three specialist agents to market our diverse offering in what is set to be London’s newest and most exciting destination. The team has a deep understanding of the commercial office market and we look forward to forging a strong partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, Glenny and Savills.”

Richard Howard, Head of London Leasing at Cushman & Wakefield said, “Royal Albert Docks has all the necessary fundamentals for a fantastic new development; international and local transport hubs and connections on its doorstep; a pleasant waterside setting; a highly flexible commercial approach to leasing and sales; and now, a highly driven and experienced team to deliver the vision. I have no doubt that Royal Albert Docks will very quickly become an established point on the London map.”

John Bell, Managing Partner at Glenny and head of the firm’s Business Space Agency division said: “The ABP Royal Albert Dock is set to become the heart of a brand-new business district for London. The commercial element is set to transform London’s office offering, providing a real opportunity for occupiers to acquire quality Grade A space in this area of the capital. Glenny is pleased to have been instructed to lease the office element of this major mixed-use scheme.”

Well situated between three DLR stations, London City Airport and the new Crossrail

station at Custom House, Phase 1 of the development will create a total of 460,000 sq. ft. of offices and 30,000 sq. ft. of retail space in 21 contemporary buildings.

The first commercial properties at the Royal Docks are set to open in March 2019.
