Guangdong government and businesses keen to land in London through ABP Royal Albert Dock

A massive delegation from the Chinese province of Guangdong visited London for a series of economic and trade cooperation events including cooperation agreement signings involving ABP and Tian’an, ABP and Shunde Enterprise Confederation.

The MOU signing ceremonies between ABP and the Chinese company Tian’An and also between ABP and Shunde Enterprise Federation were witnessed by the Party Secretary of Guangdong, Hu Chunhua, Chinese Ambassador in the UK, Liu Xiaoming, and Chairman of China-Britain Business Council, Lord Sassoon, before several hundred business leaders at the China (Guangdong)-UK Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference held in London’s Park Lane on June 14th.

The MOU signings mark the progress made through ongoing discussions between the signatories and will raise the awareness of Guangdong’s products and building materials that are not yet known in the UK. They will also use the ABP Royal Albert Dock complex as a hub to find local suppliers and businesses to trade with them.

There is increasing interest in the ABP development from China and this led to the latest in a series of business seminars held at Royal Albert Dock and attended by more than 70 London based enterprises along with more than 40 business leaders who had travelled from Guangzhou, China.

The seminar was organised by Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce and ABP International Alliance in conjunction with the Guangzhou Economic and Trade Mission. Further seminars are planned.
